SPIL has been formed up to provide specialist distribution and supply expertise to UK and overseas organisations. This is achieved by working through joint support arrangements, with major consultancy practices on distribution, transmission and generation projects.

With provision of project teams, project managers, senior authorisation personnel, design engineers, SHE managers, due diligence and other engineering resources and services SPIL can provide all the relevant skills of the modern utility and service provider to enable delivery of a quality service.

SPIL was created from the resources of Midlands Electricity’s subsidiary Midlands Power International. SPIL has been formed up to provide specialist distribution and supply expertise to overseas organisations. SPIL currently works very closely through joint support arrangements with blue chip consultancy groups on generation, transmission, distribution and supply projects.SPIL has extensive experience which has been developed through the international arm of the nationalised UK electricity industry (British Electricity International) and also through Midlands Power International.
